Haylee is a young, beautiful female who loves playing with other dogs, hanging out with her people, and making the most out of every day! This girl came to rescue with her two sisters from an owner surrender where they lived in a pen their entire life. She is great in a crate – she will go in and out and is quite comfortable in the house where she likes to pick up toys and carry them with her. She equally loves being outside, running and rolling around on the ground. She loves to pick up toys, branches, anything really, to get attention, and engage her friends in a game of chase. She is truly in her element when playing with other dogs—her happiest for sure! Cats – she was a bit curious, thinking they wanted to play, tail wagging but friendly – so a dog savvy cat would be best in Haylee’s new home. Haylee greets people with a tail wag and loves any attention she gets, including brushing, nail trims, and pets, and will offer a lick on her foster mom’s chin with kisses every time her face gets close! Haylee is always smiling and loves her people, but will be the happiest in a home with at least one canine brother to play with. She would love a family with a big, 5-foot fenced yard to explore. She loves walks where she will greet new dogs with a big tail wag. She is just a super sweet girl who is friendly to everyone and everything—she is truly a wonderful pup who will bring a lot of joy to her new family!

NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
