Doesn't Bessie have the cutest smile? Young Bessie has mastered all the secrets to be your furry best friend - cuteness overload? Check! Floofy coat? Check! Eager to please? You bet! Friendly and affectionate? Check and check! Bessie is simply the bestest pup - not only does she have excellent house manners, but she is also eagerly learning the basic cues that will prepare her to navigate her furever home with her new family. She is very smart and already crate trained - she will quickly go to her crate for mealtime! Bessie is a happy-go-lucky gal, and she is easily entertained with a toy or a chew. When the weather is nice, she loves to play outside with her canine foster siblings, just like any other youngster her age. There are 4 cats and 6 dogs of various ages in her foster home, and Bessie gets along with all of them! Bessie has a happy and curious disposition, and she is always looking forward to her next adventure. She is shy to meet new people, but warms up very quickly. She adores cuddles, pets, and being brushed. This sweet gal would love to have at least one friendly canine sibling to play with in her furever home (maybe even a pack!), as well as a 5’ fenced yard, and humans who will continue her training. This beautiful girl with the sparkly amber eyes has all the pawtential to be your furever best friend - Will you welcome her into your home?

NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
