Pyrs are like potato chips, you can’t stop at one—if you believe this to be true, Aspen and Alaska just may be the perfect duo for you! Beauties and brains too! This dynamic duo is the entire package - They are great on leash, love leash walks, adore people, jump right into the car, house broke, enjoy grooming, and great with other dogs—check, check, check, check, and check! Aspen (female) and Alaska (male) are besties, and they never tire of one another, and play – run, chase, roll around and get up and do it all over again! They are both great with other dogs and find cats to be fascinating, so dog savvy cats are recommended! They love people, nobody is a stranger. Aspen wags her tail with excitement while Alaska will just stand there looking at you as if willing you to pet him! They will both hop right in the car ready to join their person(s) for an adventure. Aspen and Alaska would enjoy children to play and hang out with too! Aspen’s motto: “the more the merrier!” A big, 5’ fenced yard is a must as well as an active family with large breed experience and plenty of time, love, and patience!

Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
