Just a few minutes with Hippie and you are sure to be smitten. This wonderful, young girl is a joy to be around. She loves her humans and loves meeting new people. She loves being brushed, riding in the car, cuddling on the couch, hugs, dancing, watching TV, and popcorn…. New family must have popcorn. Hippie is a very fun and beautiful girl. She had a tough start in life, but that hasn’t stopped her from being the most loving girl with vibrant energy. Hippie is good with dogs and loves to cuddle up with a cat of her own. Her perfect family will not leave her alone most of the day and have lots of time to spend with her keeping her company and giving pets. Hippie embodies everything we love about this breed. She has all the best traits, and her endearing nature makes any bad habits adorable. She walks well on leash, doesn’t dig, and loves the sound of her own voice. She’d do great as a leash-walk-only dog, but if she has her own yard, she’ll only need a 4’ fence. If you give her love, she will return it ten fold. If Hippie sounds like your next new family member, apply today to learn more!

NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
