Patsy is a lady-like, affectionate girl with the classic Pyr look of long, white luscious fur. She is great with people of all ages, as well as every dog she meets. She walks well on leash, rides great in the car, and comes when called. This sweet girl doesn’t dig, and rarely barks (only to protest her displeasure for a few minutes if she’s left alone). She has playful moments, enjoying a romp around with her foster sibling. She would welcome a furever home that has a submissive canine brother for her, or she’d also do well as a solo dog, enjoying daily walks with her people. She loves keeping watch on her humans, and especially spending time in her yard. She is very affectionate and is happy being brushed and pet. Grooming is a breeze, as she doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed or ears cleaned! She is a beautiful girl with a lot of love to give. And if you have some string cheese or frozen peanut butter Kong treats to share, perfect! Patsy’s ideal home is with people who are home more often than not, (or who want to take her with them when they leave), and have a fenced in yard for her to relax and enjoy life!

Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport.  Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
