My name is Simon, and I’m ready for my fur-ever family! My foster mom says that I am so loveable, and I make her laugh a lot. She says I am handsome with my freckles, very friendly with all dogs and humans, smart, goofy and sweet – a very happy pup. I love to play with my foster siblings (male and female), playing tug of war and tag, so I would require a fur-ever home with fun fur-buddies to play with. I even have experience living with three kitties and having little kids in the house occasionally. I am very playful, so toys are a MUST as I love to have a good time with my chew-toys, bully sticks and stuffed animals. And, I can be quite active (I still have puppy energy!), so outside exercise, chasing the ball, playing tag, playing “stick” in the fresh air, are my favorites, and I do need a big yard with a secure fence to run around! That said, I calm down and love my nap and resting times. I am completely housebroken, love to cuddle, and I sleep through the night. I travel well in the car and walk great on-leash. My foster mom sometimes forgets I’m even with her - I’m that good! In a nutshell, I’m a great “catch” if you’re looking for a good-natured, fun-loving, silly, affectionate Pyr.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
